Codex Project is an independent publisher of health and medical knowledge, founded in 2013. We publish short, rigorous books and courses for health professionals and students.
Why we exist
Health professionals need to understand public health and health systems, and to apply that understanding well. Legacy academic publishing is often long, expensive and slow to reach practice. Free online content is quick, but uneven in quality and rarely shows its sources. Codex sits between the two: every Codex is focused, affordable and practical, written by a practising expert who shows their reasoning and says how far the evidence goes.

Codex is a multi-author publisher. Our authors are people who do the work they write about, and we aim to treat them fairly.
